There are multiple ways on how to read the Semantic Error novel. You can buy the e-book or the physical book from Korean online shops such as Yes24 and Aladin. However, the most popular way to read the novel is through the platforms Ridi and MrBlue. As of now, the novel is officially translated to Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese, and Chinese. There is no English translation available yet.

R I D I

Ridi offers two versions of the Semantic Error novel. R15, which is for all ages and R19, which is for adults.R-15
The easiest way to read the novel without going through adult verification process is by reading the R-15 version. It is formatted in a way in which you can read it using Chrome's auto-translate function. The R-15 version is under Ridi's promotional WUF (wait until free). That means you can unlock one chapter for free every 24 hours except for the last ten chapters. Chapters unlocked using WUF will expire after some days. You are required to sign-up to Ridi in order to avail the WUF promo, and after you create and account, you will automatically receive 3 free tickets to unlock any chapter. This includes the last ten. The three chapters unlocked using tickets will expire after 90 days. I highly suggest that you unlock any of the last ten chapters the moment you create an account. If you want to keep the chapters in your library permanently, you can purchase each chapter for 100 KRW. There are a total of 109 chapters so that would total to 10,900 KRW or roughly 9 USD.R-19
You can also read the whole version of the novel, which is R-19. You would need to verify yourself as an adult in order to read this. You can only read the R-19 version using the Ridi app. That means you won't be able to read using browsers and auto-translators. Most of the time, international readers take a screenshot and use external translator such as Google Lens and Papago. If you are an Android user, you can use the app Hi Translate which translates everything that is on your screen. I honestly do not recommend this because of the permissions needed in order to run the app but to each their own. The price for 6 volumes of R-19 is 16,800 KRW which is rougly 14 USD.R-15 vs. R-19
1. R-19 contains 6 volumes of uncut content which includes mature themes, profanity, and sex while the R-15 contains the cut version which removed the mentioned themes.
2. R-15 includes the main story only which is equal to R-19's volumes 1-4. Volumes 5-6 are side stories.
3. R-15 can be read using Chrome and Ridi app while R-19 can be read using Ridi app only. That means only R-15 can be read using auto-translation.

RIDI CASH
Ridi Cash is Ridi's currency. It's the payment method used in purchasing anything on Ridi. For ios users, you can directly purchase Ridi Cash from the app and pay using Apple Pay. For Android users, you can also purchase from the app and pay with overseas credit card.
1. Go to MY tab and click the blue 리디캐시 충전 button.
2. Select the amount you want. 1 Ridi Cash = 1 KRW. The higher the top up value, the higher the bonus Ridi Cash (rightmost column).
3. Select 해외 발행 신용카드 as payment and check the Terms checkbox.

4. You will be prompted to input your card details. Once you're done, you'll see a success message and you'll also receive a receipt on your email.

RIDI ADULT VERFICATION
All Korean platforms require adult verification when purchasing adult materials. Korean nationals need only their phone numbers but overseas readers need to be manually verified. In order to do that, you'd need to send a 1:1 inquiry message to Ridi. It's best to use Chrome with auto-translate when doing this.
1. While logged in, go to this link.
2. Click the button that says "Receive adult verification for overseas customers" or something similar. Note that translations could be different.
3. Fill up the form, check all the checkboxes, attach your passport, then click submit.
4. It takes 1-3 days for them to process verification. You will receive a message and an email after you get verified. After that, you may shop from Ridi's mature catalogue.

M R B LU E

Unlike Ridi, MrBlue offers the R-19 version only. But the good thing about MrBlue is that the novels are formatted in a way in which you can read them using Chrome and auto-translation, much like Ridi's R-15. Currently, MrBlue does not have the volume 6 side story. I would personally recommend MrBlue if you're going to read the R19 version especially if you have little to zero knowledge of Korean. Although I bought the novel from both Ridi and MrBlue, I always read it on MrBlue.

Just like Ridi, MrBlue has its own currency and it's called Blue Money. They dont accept overseas cards but they do have Paypal as payment method.

BONUS: FICTIONLOG
Fictionlog is a Thai platform that publishes translated Korean novels. In this platform, you don't need to go through adult verification in order to access the R-19 novel. You don't need an app to read, too. Just like Ridi's R-15, you can use Chrome and auto-translation. The downside of using this platform though is that it's going through 2 layers of translations. From Korean, it was officially translated to Thai, and from Thai, Chrome will translate to English. This could be either a good thing(if translation is better from Thai - Eng), or bad(if some context get lost). There are 22 free chapters.

W E B T O O N

Since the novel garnered popularity, a webtoon adaptation was made in 2020 which was published in Ridi in Korean. In 2021, the webtoon was officially translated to English and was published in Manta. Both are R-15 so no need for adult verification.RIDI (KOREAN)

MANTA (ENGLISH)
Manta is on a subscription plan basis. You'd need to pay $3 monthly but you will have unlimited access to all the webtoons and novels published in there. There are a lot of good stories in there so I'd say it a bang for the buck.
AMAZON (ENGLISH)
You can buy the English e-book from Amazon. Volumes 1-2 contain all chapters from season 1. Each volume retails for $12.

Disclaimer: The audio drama is in Korean and there are no English subtitles. I read the novel while I listen to it in order to understand. But I know elementary Korean so I am able to follow without much problems.
